PhilippiansНамуна

Have you ever found yourself googling something only to get lost in a rabbit hole? Often when I am getting ready to cook, I will search on the internet for a recipe that contains the same ingredients I currently have in my fridge. Sometimes I find that I can get lost in the weeds of looking at dozens of different ideas and then lose motivation to even cook because I am overwhelmed by all the outcomes.
It’s so easy to get distracted and therefore discouraged. Paul warns that “many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.”
What unhelpful thoughts or views have you been caught up in lately? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal where you have been distracted and discouraged. Let Him show you the freedom of Truth through the reading of Scripture today.

About this Plan

The letter to the church in Philippi is an incredible example of what it means to live as a follower of Jesus in light of what was accomplished in Jesus' death and resurrection. This book is an essential text for the church as we seek to live the way of Jesus in practice.
