One Week to a Healthier MarriageНамуна

Forgiveness and Reconciliation
Over the last week, we’ve explored lots of wisdom from the Bible that points us to a strong, resilient marriage. That being said, these principles are targets, and our aim won’t be 100% all the time.
When your spouse falls short, it’s essential to be forgiving. Ephesians 4:32 sums it up so well for us: “Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”
God set the ultimate example of forgiveness that, as Christians, we’re committed to follow. In a marriage, you and your spouse will see each other’s ugliest sides at times. In no other relationship will you have that level of vulnerability. That’s why forgiveness is the glue that can keep a marriage going long-term.
