Finding Peace in the Midst of StormsНамуна

2. Peace as the Arbiter of Our Lives
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom..." - Colossians 3:16
One of the most profound points of the original Greek text is the choice of the word "reign". In this context, it is best translated as "arbiter".
Peace, according to the Bible, is not just a state of mind, but acts as an arbiter in our lives. It is the force that decides who wins when we are faced with challenges.
I find this interpretation extremely powerful. How many times have I been tempted to let my emotions, fears, or doubts dictate my reaction to a challenge? But the Bible reminds us that if we allow Christ's peace to act as the arbiter, it will decide who wins. It guides our actions, our reactions, and ultimately our victories.
