RevelationНамуна

There have been many allusions to the plagues of Egypt. We’ve seen it earlier with the seven trumpets, and now John sees seven bowls. Each one is more devastating than the last. Like Pharaoh in the Exodus story, no matter how awful the consequences, the people do not return back to God. The bowls represent divine judgement being poured out on to the intense evil we read about in the last chapters.

About this Plan

The apocalypse ("uncovering" in Greek) that John receives reveals the nature of the world as it is and will one day be. Amidst all of the cosmic imagery is a Lamb and its army who conquer through the power of sacrificial love. This 8-week plan is written by the church and for the church as we seek to follow Jesus in the 21st century.
