Resist the depression
In my teens, I suffered from bullying on the bus. I went through such a difficult time in my life that I stopped eating and cried a lot when I was alone.
I was a person who hardly smiled and hid my sadness. But one day, I decided not to be like that anymore.
That day I sat in my room, I wanted to talk with God and with me. I did so and in a loud voice, I announced: I no longer want to be depressed, I want to be happy; I decide to be fine.
Although I describe it in a few words here, it was an act of faith. Faith because I believed that God could help me make this decision and because I believed in me to tell the Lord: change me, I want to enjoy life as you want me to.
Jesus has already carried our burdens, He has already suffered our ailments. He has given us joy and peace. But it is up to us:
- Accept it
- Believe it
- Live it
- Share it
Decide today to leave your sadness in the arms of the Lord, so that he may put his joy in you once and for all.
This is how I resisted depression!
