What Is the Kingdom?Намуна

When Jesus comes and is present, THEN the Kingdom has come! The Bible describes the coming of the Kingdom as present when Jesus comes onto the scene. We will discover that at His birth, the Bible teaches us that the Kingdom came, but it is also written clearly that the Kingdom WILL come when He comes again. Therefore, the first aspect of the Kingdom is the living, undeniable presence of Jesus Christ. Jesus IS both the King of this great Kingdom AND the full manifestation of it. Where He is, therefore, the Kingdom is. If this is the beginning of the reality of the Kingdom of God, then the cultivation of the awareness of His Presence in our lives is the highest and foremost activity of life. If this is true, then prayer is the central activity of man. Prayer is not something that we do; it is to become the very center of life, the chief mode of operation of our soul. To the degree that we cultivate and guard the awareness of His Presence is the degree that we will experience the Kingdom of God now.
Reflection Question
- As you reflect on your life, would you say that prayer is at the center?
- If not, what would need to change today in order to guard the awareness of His Presence through prayer?
