We have a MIND/SOUL - the aspect of us that can think, decide, and have emotions.

We live in a BODY - the physical part of us that takes actions that lead to results in our lives.

As Galatians 6 says, depending on which aspect we feed, will determine the harvest we reap. Our mind is like a garden, which responds to the type of seeds we plant. If we plant nourishing seeds - the Word of God, the Truth of God, the Spirit of God - we will reap the great fruit of the Spirit!

However, if we choose to plant weeds - the temptations of this world, greed, selfishness, lust, wanting only to satisfy our own flesh and desires - watch out! We will “reap destruction from the flesh.” Like a garden, the mind will express whatever seeds are planted into it.
