God has made us a huge promise. One day, He is going to return and set the world right. Heaven will come to Earth, and those who love God will be with Him in this home forever. But living in this broken world in the meantime can be so hard. Sometimes, it can feel as if God is taking too long to keep that promise. But His Word tells us that He isn’t being slow; He’s being patient. He’s patient so the people who don’t know Him can come to know Him. Think about the people in your life who don’t know the Lord. That’s who God is waiting on! He wants them to know Him, too. He wants them to accept His invitation to belong in His Kingdom.
So, whenever you get discouraged that God is taking a long time to come back and set things right, remember your beloved friend or family member who doesn’t know His love. Ask God to use this time to do whatever it takes for them to come to know Him. And, of course, join Him in His mission. He wants everyone to come to know Him, so do your part to share His love with others, too.

About this Plan

Stories teach us life lessons that stick with us well after the last page is turned. That may be why Jesus often told stories to convey a big idea or truth. He knew stories would connect with our hearts. We’ll dive into a few of those stories (parables) together. As we study, we’ll discover the power of those stories and how they can apply to our lives, as well as the power of Jesus as a teacher and a storyteller.
