Wise Friends

Did you know that over the past 30 years, our friend circles have gotten smaller? Many studies label our society as the loneliest it's ever been, even though we are more connected than ever. This downward trend is especially true for men. Their friend groups are much smaller than the average woman's.

A lack of friendship is a problem God warns us about and tells us how to avoid. The book of Hebrews urges us not to stop meeting together, especially as the days pass. Friends, especially godly ones, add great value to our lives. Our friends encourage us and spur us on to godliness, and we need them, and more importantly, your husband needs them.

Your husband needs wise men to walk with and to go through life with. Without the wisdom of friends who seek to follow Jesus, he's left open to harm. Lift your husband before the throne today and ask for God's blessing in his life and friendships.

Let’s Pray:

Lord, thank you for the gift of friendships. Please bring friends into my husband's life that will stick close to him, encourage him and hold him accountable. I also ask that you help my husband to be a good friend, one who sees the needs of those around him and offers the same hope and encouragement in return. Help him not to go through this life alone without other godly men in his life. Protect and keep anyone away from him that may lead him to foolishness and harm. In Jesus' name, Amen.
