Gratitude That Glorifies GodНамуна

Neighbors
For some reason, in America, we like to paint this picture that our literal neighbors are the worst. We try to compete for the nicer yard, bigger pool, newer car, and smarter kids. (Shout out to all the honor roll stickered cars)
We can be so ungrateful for our neighbors that we choose to park in the garage and close the garage door before we get out of the car just to avoid them. I don’t think that was the point Jesus made when He said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
I’ve heard it said that you get to choose your friends and even your family, but God chooses your neighbors.
Pray:Think about the community God has placed in your life. Reflect on how it has made an impact on your life. Spend some time in prayer giving thanks for your neighbors and ask them today how you can better support them in the season of life they’re in. That could start as simple as parking in the driveway and waving to your neighbor daily.

About this Plan

It’s hard to be grateful in the comparison culture we live in. I need more influence, money, time, vacations, a bigger house, and a nicer car. Have you ever thought that? What if God has given us more than enough, and we refuse to glorify Him because we aren’t grateful for what we have? Over the next seven days, we’ll practice glorifying God through gratitude.
