It’s a typical day in math class. You’re scribbling in your notebook as your teacher is teaching the lesson. But then, you realize your teacher stops talking. You look up to see what is happening and notice your teacher walking around the classroom, passing out papers as he announces, “Pop Quiz!”
If you’re like me, deep down, you’re scared because you were not prepared for this to happen.
Whether it’s a pop quiz in math class or something more serious, we’ve all felt scared before. We’ve all felt nervous and worried. We know what it’s like to be afraid of what will happen next.
It’s in those moments of feeling scared and afraid that we can talk to God about it. No matter what, in everything, you can be honest with God. It might sound crazy, but when you are honest with God, even during the scariest times, God can give you peace.
So today, start by being honest with God about how you feel. Tell God what’s worrying you right now. If you don’t know what to pray, start with something like this:
“God, thank you for who you are. Right now, I need You to help me. I am worried about __________. Please give me peace to get through this.”
