Real Hope: Lessons on Leadership Through DeborahНамуна

Deborah Turns the People Back to God
When you watch a sunrise, you see the beauty and brightness of the sun chase away the darkness. It pierces through the clouds, warms up the earth, and brings another day to our planet. As a child of God who places their trust in Him and His Word, we are like the sun when it rises in its strength. And from Deborah’s example, God shows us how to stand up against the forces of wickedness with dedication and confidence.
Deborah’s leadership, practical solutions, and motherly instincts embodied virtuous Christian living. Yet, orchestrating a stunning victory over the Canaanites wasn’t even her greatest accomplishment.
Deborah’s greatest victory and eternal legacy were that she called her people back to God. May our lives shine brightly, revealing the nature of God.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30 NKJV).

About this Plan

A series by Heidi Wysman. Israel had many judges, but one of the memorable and prominent ones was a woman named Deborah. Not only was she notable because she was a woman, a mother and a grandmother, but also because she was a woman who knew the Lord. We see through her story that she had gained great prominence, distinction and importance on her own merits of character. Her love for, and faithfulness in, her Lord was one that brought her into her destiny of greatness. This Plan looks at what we can learn about leadership from Deborah.
