Fact: Our lives are busy. Many of us have to go to work, go to school, run errands for our family, and cook multiple meals. It can feel like the list never ends. And while we may try to prioritize our lists in order to accomplish the most important things, sometimes just surviving the day is all we can do. With so many things fighting for our attention, we have to be intentional about keeping our relationship with Christ at the top spot. Of course, God isn’t asking for us to ignore feeding our families or stop going to work, but He is reminding us that a life spent with Him is what is truly important. All other things spring from our relationship with God. We don’t just want to feed our families food but nourish them with Scripture and time with God. We don’t just want to work at our jobs, but also do work that builds the Kingdom. When we keep Christ central, we involve Him in all aspects of our lives. We let Him influence every other thing we do.
Using your phone or keeping an eye on a clock, each hour remind yourself of your commitment to Christ. This may be saying this verse out loud to yourself, saying a small prayer each hour, or listening to a worship song.

About this Plan

An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
