I could not believe that my friend was moving far away. She had been my support and my strength in times of trouble. I relied on her to listen to me and advise me when I needed encouragement. With her living many miles away, I would not have a friend to hug me when I was in need. As I pondered this new change, I was distraught and discouraged until I read my Bible, and the Word of the Lord jumped off the page and into my heart. I needed to stretch my faith! My Lord would be with me always to comfort, strengthen, and listen to me. I just needed a faith check.

Where is your faith? Is your faith resting in people or the Lord, who is always faithful? He is the one who promises restoration as you pray and seek Him with all of your heart. He is always faithful to you. Lean on Him to help you get through it all. The faithfulness and love of your Lord never ends but is new each morning!

PRAYER

Dear Lord, I will put my trust and faith in you even when I do not understand. You will see for me, O Lord, even when I cannot see. Blessed is the one who trusts in you. Help me when my faith falters and when I am tired, full of fear, and my body is weak. You are renewing me day by day as your faith never ceases. Your great faithfulness is new every morning, and I will sing a new song of hope because I know you will never leave me! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
