Called to Give Your Best

Jesus People give their best by serving others. It’s one way that we take part in the Kingdom of God here on Earth. Service can look so different for every believer, but the truth is that we are called to serve. While we can choose how we serve, we cannot choose not to serve and 1 Peter 4:10-11 gives us a few reasons why.

First, we serve because the Holy Spirit has gifted us, and each of us has been gifted differently. So it is our responsibility to share our gifts with others.

Second, we serve because it responds to and expresses God’s grace in our lives. We serve because Jesus first served us. He came and died for our sins so that we could be free from the chains of sin and focus on building up one another.

Finally, we serve because it brings glory and praise to God. As we spend our time and energy serving others, it will bring attention to the reason for our serving, which is our relationship with God.
