Prayer for Peace

Father, there is so much strife and trouble in our world. Every day we hear of violence of every kind. Wars, school shootings, and police brutality are some of the many horrors we see in the news. Sin has crept in and brought about its end of death and destruction.

Jesus, the only thing that can help us is Your peace. We cannot leave this world until You call us home, so please help us endure. Give us Your peace which surpasses all human understanding. That’s only way we’re going to make it through all of the trials we have to face here. Remind us that You have already conquered this world, and that no matter what we face it can’t compare to the joy You set before us.
