Year of the Bible: Part Three of Twelve Намуна

God Parts the Waters.
Listen to what Moses says to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm, and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
The Israelites are facing a dangerous situation. The Egyptians changed their minds and decided to chase the Israelites into the desert to bring them back to Egypt and slavery. We read that many complained against Moses at this moment because, according to their natural minds, he and God brought them out to the desert to be murdered by the Egyptian army.
Their "freak-out" is understandable because they have been unfamiliar with God for centuries, and they looked at the circumstance with their natural senses. God, however, had other supernatural plans for their deliverance. For this reason, God says through Moses, fear not, you will never again see your enslavers. I am setting you free! Stand and watch!
You probably are not running away from enemies and up against a sea. Still, every day, you are presented with challenges to trust God's supernatural abilities or in your natural abilities. Maturity in Christ is learning to walk in a posture of trust and returning to trust when doubt creeps in.
Question: Where do you need God's supernatural deliverance?
Prayer Focus: Call out to God. Tell Him you trust Him, and take a moment to remind yourself of some scriptures that strengthen your core belief in God's capabilities and heart.
