Today, Bare Tree and Little Wind talk about when Real King returns.

“But what happened to Jesus?” Little Wind asks. “Why don’t we see Him today?”

Bare Tree smiles. “We don’t see Him because He left this time and place for a beautiful, perfect home called heaven. People go there to be with Him after they die by asking God for forgiveness and believing that Jesus took the punishment for their sins and rose from the dead.”

“But how does that fix the mess here?” Little Wind asks. “For people who are still here in this time and this place?”

“Well, Jesus the Real King left a powerful Spirit of love to help His followers try and make things better,” says Bare Tree. “And one day, He’s coming back to fix everything once and for all!”

“He is? When?”

“None of us know the time or day, but He told us to watch and wait,” says Bare Tree. “Will you do that with me, my friend?”

“Of course!” says Little Wind. “We’ll watch and wait together.”

God, thank You that Jesus will return. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to be our helper. We pray that You lead us to do the right things and be ready for Jesus when He comes again. Help us understand Your word in the Bible and love people like Jesus did. Amen.
