Rip Up the List: Renew RelationshipsНамуна

Day 1: Passionate Love or Lust?
Is it “love at first sight?” Maybe it’s just dopamine and phenylethylamine from their presence, making you feel invincible as the chemicals move through your brain. God designed you biologically to feel attraction, but this first phase of a potential relationship can be very hard to navigate. What’s worse, marriage doesn’t halt attraction to all others, so the lesson in restraint you learn at this beginning phase builds the basis for commitment later—in this phase, saying no to your future spouse is a building block for fidelity in the next. If you’re already married, maybe this is shining a light on something in the foundation of your relationship that still has time to be addressed. Do not allow the chemical high to distract you from all of the signs that were already there from the beginning.
Passion is holy. Lust defiles. The beginning of your relationship sets in motion many things, so make decisions now that become stories you’re proud to tell your grandchildren later.
Rip up the list of failures and relapses - this time, you’re going to get it right. Rip up the list of past mistakes creating future problems, and renew your relationship now.
