5 Powerful Prayers to Strengthen the Hearts of Our TeachersНамуна

Hearts of Wisdom
“The wise old owl sat in a tree, he seldom ever spoke, you see. The less he spoke, the more he heard. So let’s all be like that wise old bird.” As an eager elementary student, I loved memorizing this poem and thinking about the wise old owl.
Teachers need wisdom now more than ever, as they make crucial decisions in their personal and professional lives. They need wisdom from above, not worldly wisdom which does not see the whole picture. God is the source of wisdom, and He promises to give wisdom generously when we ask. What a comfort to know that God sees the end from the beginning and will give the discernment needed each day in the classroom and in the home.
Today, as we continue to pray powerful prayers for our teachers, we trust that God will strengthen them with His wisdom.
Praise God for His Wisdom
“…that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3
God, we praise You for Your wisdom. All of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in You.
Pray for Hearts to Seek God’s Wisdom
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5
God, we ask that teachers would turn to You for wisdom as You promise to give it generously to all who ask. As a result, may decisions that impact our schools and therefore, our nation, come from discerning minds and hearts.
Pray for Hearts that are Wise in Relationships
“Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.” Proverbs 12:18
Lord, thank You for providing hope and transformation within school relationships. Use the wise words of teachers to bring healing where it is needed. May students bless their instructors with wise and kind words as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
