Moments for Mums: Refreshing - Part 1Намуна

When troubles come our way, we are blessed to have friends who lift up our spirits and refresh us during those hard times.
In Philemon 1:7, Paul is encouraged by Philemon’s work in loving and serving others, and sharing God’s Word with them. Paul is not just encouraged, but joyful to hear of Philemon’s example of loving others as God intended.
1 Peter 4:10 speaks of using “whatever gift you have received to serve others”.
What joy it is when we have a friend who speaks love, hope and encouragement into our lives! Kind words or a helping hand are like a cool drink of water on a hot day, bringing refreshment and new energy to us.
Proverbs 16:24 says “Kind words are like honey-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
Question
Who supports you and brings joy and encouragement into your life? Who can you do this for?
Prayer
Thank you God for those who encourage and lift me up. Help me to be a positive influence on those around me.
About this Plan

Motherhood can feel relentless and have us running on empty at times. Add in the rest of life and it is easy to get to a place of feeling exhausted and soul-weary. God meets us in those moments and offers refreshing for our souls. Encouragement for mums in the midst of the beautiful mess of parenting and life. Presented by MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Australia.
