If you have made the decision to know Jesus more and to surrender your life completely to him, something powerful will occur in your life. Smelling like Jesus has a purpose. It is not simply for us to enjoy. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross let out the most pleasing aroma to God, bearing all of our sins and conquering death forever. He took our place, a place that we deserved. We should have been nailed to that cross, but He loved us so much then, and He loves us still today, that he gave His own life, so that we can live close to the Father. We carry on our bodies the aroma of the sacrifice that He made for us, so that others can get a whiff of Jesus. Now let me ask, can people smell Jesus in you? A famous phrase says: "You will be the only Bible that many will read.” Because of this, you will be the closest some people will come to smelling Jesus in their lives. Isn’t it nice to be around someone who is wearing good perfume? This generation is on a constant search for a pleasant aroma that only comes from God. It is our duty to be carriers of that fragrance so that others can smell Christ from the way we live, speak and think. No earthly aroma can be compared with the heavenly aroma. The aroma of Christ is the only one that fills, satisfies, and transforms. However, not everyone will want to be near you, mainly because many are uncomfortable with this smell. Regardless of the reaction of the people, we are called to proclaim the Gospel and carry the pleasant aroma of the knowledge of God.
