Sereniti- 30 Days to a New Start Намуна

“The Game of Trust”
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust Him. -Psalm 91:2 (NLT)
I can remember being a teenager and playing the game of trust. This game consists of you trusting a person who stands behind you to catch you as you're falling backward. It was the role of the other person to catch you or to let you fall. The scary part about this game of trust was that you never knew the other person's intentions. All you could do was trust that they wouldn't let you fall.
Well, God's intentions are never uncertain. His motives for us are sure, and they're pure. He always plans to catch us and put us in a place of tranquility. Whether we fall or whether we are on level ground, the plans and heart of God are trustworthy. Unlike the Game of Trust played in high school, you don't have to wonder if God will let you down.
It may look like our 'falling' will never end, but we have to trust that we have refuge in God, even in our low places. He will never fail us.
Is your trust entirely in God?
Meditation:
Psalm 91
Prayer:
Loving Father, I thank You that, even when things around me begin to fall, You will always be there to ensure my fall is not permanent. I'm grateful that Your love is a cushion for my falls, and that You bring refuge in the time of despair. I know that with You, I am always safe. In Jesus' name, Amen.
