Wisdom From JamesНамуна

Living in Alignment
In this chapter, we see what happens when the God-fearing, Jesus-loving person’s life is not in alignment; a space is created where the thoughts and actions of worldly living can creep in, mirroring a life like that of an adulterer.
The adulterer is referred to as anyone who loves both God and the world but is not truly faithful to either. James uses strong language to command our attention and guide us towards repentance. He is calling for repentance, calling for the believer to come humbly to the Lord and make our lives right. It is a call to action, to humble ourselves as we pray and repent.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your word today. Help me to live in alignment with you at the centre of my life. I repent of not living with you at the centre and doing life my own way. Today I come near to you in the hope that you purify my heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
