Bricklayers 2Намуна

Nehemiah’s four month focus on prayer and fasting paid off. King Artaxerxes gave Nehemiah permission to travel the 800 miles to Jerusalem to help his people rebuild the city. Nehemiah asked the king to allow him to leave, and the king gave him far more than he ever dreamed of. Nehemiah received letters from the king so he could pass safely through other regions. He received materials to rebuild the city. He also received officers and horsemen to aid as protection along the journey.
Have you ever prayed for something and received for more than you ever expected? God knows exactly what we need. If you and I remain faithful in prayer, God will work to bring about His perfect will in our lives. Nehemiah was dealing with tough people. A hard-nosed king. Bitter and frustrated Jews. He could have manipulated his way through this hardship, but he relied on God. As you look at your relationships, do you need to replace manipulation, sarcasm or the silent treatment with prayer?
