SOAP: 2 Samuel 11:27 David chose to please Himself and disregard God. He grew complacent and forgot that he served a holy God who sees the secret places of our hearts and hates sin. When we start cutting corners, our heart quickly becomes cluttered with self-indulgent compromise that leads to sin. We must say no to our flesh and clear out anything in our lives that displeases God. Lord God, help us to never forget that You are holy. May we choose to continually reverence You with our choices. Help us to uproot selfishness and diligently say no to our flesh. Amen.
