Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith Намуна

Dwell in safety – how comforting that sounds. Today if we feel trapped, unhappy, lost, alone, and afraid, let us remember that we are first, loved greatly, and secondly, surrounded by God so that we are never alone or unsafe. The Hebrew word for safe is betach which not only describes a state of confidence and security but also of being “in hope”. Without hope, we can soon begin to despair and lose heart. But the Word of God assures us that we who are greatly cherished by the Lord can dwell in hope. We are carried like children; in fact, the verse explains that God is not only our shelter—our covering, our refuge, our safe place—but He is also carrying us on His shoulders. Picture a little child sitting atop his father’s shoulders – that’s exactly where we are right now. It’s the safest place in the world to be!
Pray for:
• Hope to be rekindled in our hearts and minds.
• The assurance of God’s abiding love for us to fill us with joy.
• Us to share this love and comfort with others who may be struggling today.
