From Beginning To End - Quarter 3Намуна

God was ready to support Jeroboam, but he needed to obey God. Unfortunately, he thought he could strengthen his power more by building a temple in his own territory rather than have the people go to Jerusalem. In Deuteronomy 12:5, God had commanded He only be worshiped in the place He chose. God also punishes His prophet for being deceived into disobeying.
These acts of disobedience may seem minor and God’s punishment harsh, but God expects to be obeyed in all cases.

About this Plan

This is part three of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
