From Beginning To End - Quarter 3Намуна

1 Kings is a continuation of 2 Samuel. David is getting old and about to die. His now oldest son, Adonijah, makes his move to be David’s replacement. But Solomon is God’s choice, and David is persuaded to intervene and chooses Solomon.
This is a great illustration of people taking action to bring about God’s plan. Faith doesn’t always mean sitting back and letting God do all the work. Sometimes we need take action. It takes wisdom and prayer to know when to wait for God or when to step in.

About this Plan

This is part three of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
