Journey Of The Seed - Catch The Bible's Big Picture In 60 DaysНамуна

FREE DAY
[No scheduled reading]
Enjoy your free day today. Or use it as a catch-up day.
We’re three weeks into our reading journey together. The Seed is at the halfway mark with (Jesse #32) and David (#33).
King Saul takes the throne at 1095 B.C. The Seed still has a ways to go and God is still taking His time.
We see some more 40-year ticks ahead:
- After Eli judges Israel for 40-years (1 Samuel 4:18) and then 12 years by Samuel,
- David rules Israel for 40 years(1 Kings 2:11).
- Then Solomon rules Israel for 40 years (1 Kings 11:42).
Again, this 40-year interval is not a rule. But this frequent period of time reminds us that God is moving The Seed from one generation to the next.
