Peter’s closing of this letter is a prayer for Christians that God out of His grace and mercy will perfect them, establish them, strengthen them, and settle them. Peter states that those things come only after they have suffered for a little while. He makes it clear that Christians will encounter suffering in this world, but God has a great plan for those who are in Christ.
