“Come, Thou long-expected Jesus, born to set Thy people free.” These words from a beloved hymn capture the heart of Advent: longing, waiting, expectation. Scripture builds our anticipation of our Saviour, God Himself who would dwell among His people and set them free from sin and death. Celebrate Jesus’ first coming as the baby born in Bethlehem and anticipate His second as the glorious King over all.

This is the fourth part of a reading plan through the Bible following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, this part of the plan will also focus on our only comfort in life and death from questions 1 & 2 of the Heidelberg Catechism.

These lessons represent many years of study, research, prayer, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The revelations that I shared in each lesson I have applied in my life and ministry for over fifty years. I have designed these, so you will have one lesson for each day of the month. At the beginning of a new month, go back to lesson #1 again. Repeat this every month for an entire year. Doing this will establish these principles firmly in your life.

Thirty-One Days of Healing & Recovery is a compilation of short healing passages and verses that you can read every day for a month. The purpose is to allow the scriptures to form and/or strengthen your beliefs as to the ability and willingness of God to heal today.
