The Easter season highlights the greatest expression of God’s incomparable love—He did for us what we are not able to do for ourselves. This reading plan focuses on Jesus’ sinless life, His atoning death, and His glorious victory over sin and the grave through His resurrection. Who better to define Jesus than Himself? That’s exactly what He does in His seven “I AM” statements throughout the gospel of John. In this plan readers will gain a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and the power He brings to the lives of His followers.

Everyone immediately thinks “betrayer” when they hear the name Judas. The story is legendary but is actually true and historically accurate. What was he like, and what about the God whom he betrayed?

What does the Cross reveal to us about who God is? How can we know him more intimately through contemplating Christ's crucifixion and resurrection? This 12-day plan invites you to prepare your heart for Easter as you journey toward the Cross, reflect on the events of Holy Week, and celebrate the Resurrection.

This reading plan explores the fourth gospel. John wrote the fourth gospel to assure persecuted Jewish believers that Jesus was the fulfillment of God's ancient promises to the Jews; that Jesus really is the Christ, the Son of God. John wanted to make sure that they would remain faithful to Jesus and enjoy abundant life in him.

Jesus Christ came to earth for a purpose. His coming was a conscious decision. During the years in which He traveled around the land of Israel and made God's Kingdom known, He also explained why He came to earth. Several times, we read in the Gospels: “I have come to...”. This reading plan aims to trace some of those statements to make us aware of Jesus’ mission.

What do the miracles that Jesus performed 2000 years ago have to do with your life? Quite a lot, because Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is a God of miracles and just as he raised his friend Lazarus from the dead back then, he can give you new life today in areas of your life that have long felt dead.

Step into the Gospel of John and read through the influence and impact Jesus had the two weeks preceding His death. Once you experience God’s truth, you will never look at life the same – for Jesus is greater than any fear that grips your life or joy that fills your heart.

"Be still, and know that I am God;" (PSALM 46:10a). Many Christians are familiar with this verse, but do we really understand it? This exhortation applies when we are distracted by our successes, as when we are fearful and disquieted by some troublesome news. We need to learn to quiet ourselves by opening God’s Word and gaining His perspective in both cases.
