Profile of an Overcomer: Manoah's wife was a woman who encountered an angel with a "hard-to-believe" message from God. When she told her husband, Manoah, about the angel's message, he had to pray and ask God to help him understand what was to be done. The angel again gave specific instructions about what his wife should do to prepare to be pregnant with a child. That child, Samson, would become instrumental in executing God's plan for Israel. She stands as a model for women today to get themselves prepared for pregnancy---to get their body in order. It won't hurt to stop bad eating habits, smoking, and drinking. It won't hurt to develop good, healthy habits in their place to allow the body to operate at its best during the pregnancy. God willingly and liberally gives you wisdom about the physical needs as well as the spiritual needs in your life. Preparation is a good thing.
