Guess what? You are not powerless or out of control. The Holy Spirit gives you a sound mind and the fruit of self-control.

You don’t have to be ruled by cravings, habits, or peer pressure. You're in charge. Not your past, not a drink, not the lie that you’re too far gone.

We’re reminded again in 2 Timothy that we've been equipped…with power, love, and clarity. Let’s think about the word equipped. It means to be supplied with the necessary items for a particular purpose. What’s that particular purpose? To love God with all of our soul and strength. He promises His angelic forces to accompany us, defend us, and preserve us in all of our ways, including our obedience and service. We have been given authority in Christ over the powers of darkness, our circumstances, our emotions, and even our thoughts!

Galatians tells us that self-control is a spiritual fruit. Evidence that God is working in you. He is faithfully accomplishing the work that can only come through the Spirit, and there is NO limit to what He wants to pour into your life.

Sis, you are not helpless. You are Holy Spirit-empowered.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving me a sound mind. Help me walk in power, love, and clarity today. I am not ruled by anything but You. Lord, I pray that you would increase my capacity to receive these gifts through the power of Your Holy Spirit!
