Choosing to Trust God in Every Season: Lessons From Noahనమూనా

More Than a Story
Noah’s ark is one of the most beloved themes for decorating nurseries.
Adorable animal pairs, a cheerful boat, puffy clouds, and a bright rainbow have captured the imagination of children for generations. Even catchy songs add to the charm of this ancient story.
Books, songs, and animals... what could be missing?
Oh—just the millions of people who drowned in a global deluge, the catastrophic upheaval of the earth, and the near-total destruction of God’s good creation.
As delightful as the nursery version may be, the Bible reminds us just how sobering this story truly is. The sanitized pop-culture version is far removed from the raw, unfiltered account recorded in Scripture. Noah’s story is not a children’s tale—it’s a divine warning and a powerful guide for anyone who wants to live a God-honoring life in a godless world.
It’s also a commentary on culture—not just Noah’s, but ours.
Jesus Himself said,“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.” (Luke 17:26)
His words remind us: this isn’t just history—it’s prophecy. Whether or not we’re living in the exact days Jesus described, we are certainly living in similar times: days marked by moral confusion, cultural decline, and constant upheaval. Ours is not a children’s story, either.
Navigating life in such times means facing seasons when choices are difficult, circumstances are painful, and the way forward is unclear. Noah faced a literal flood, but we face all kinds of storms—storms that threaten to erode our faith and compromise our obedience.
But what if the storm isn’t the real test?
What if the real test is how we trust God before the storm... and in the silence afterward?
That was Noah’s challenge—learning to be shaped by God under pressure. It didn’t happen by focusing on what was falling apart around him. It happened by fixing his eyes on the One who never changes.
As chaos unfolded, Noah discovered a truth that saved him, changed him, and gave him purpose:
Trusting God is the bridge between storms and promises.
And knowing Him better is still the surest path to the peace, stability, and purpose our hearts long for. So maybe it will not surprise you that as the story of Noah unfolds, so will the identity of God’s true Rescuer and source of rest. Over the next six days, as we walk with Noah, we will, more importantly, walk with God.
You’ll have the chance to cross the same bridge of trust – a bridge that leads from confusion to clarity, from chaos to purpose, and from reeling to rescue – all found in God's promise fulfilled in Jesus.
