EquipHer Vol. 29: "How to Measure Our Productivity? "నమూనా

Day 1 – Trust Beyond Striving
Your worth is not measured by how much you do, but by how faithfully you build what God has entrusted to you.
There is a scene in the Bible that perfectly reflects the tension we face every day in our busy and demanding lives. The Scripture we are referencing is when Israel had just been delivered from slavery in Egypt, but their freedom seemed to instantaneously vanish (Exodus 12:31–42), as they found themselves standing in front of an impassable sea. Pharaoh’s powerful army was quickly advancing on them and panic spread. They felt trapped. The Israelites cried out in fear and blamed Moses for leading them to their death.
It is amazing to observe how the Israelites most likely wanted to scream: “Run! Do something! Move!” (Exodus 14:1–12), yet God gave a command that defied every human instinct: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14, NIV).
This was not an invitation to do nothing, but a call of radical trust. Moses did not simply stand still—he listened and he waited. He waited for God’s direction at the appointed moment and raised his staff to part the waters–freeing the people to walk through on dry ground (Exodus 14:15–22). Israel was not saved by frantic activity, but by the act of listening and trusting.
It is not doing more that parts the “seas” we face, but doing the right thing, at the right time, with a heart aligned to Him.
We often fill our schedules to feel secure, fearing that stopping means failing. However, true growth and lasting impact begin when we learn to pause, surrender, and to move when God directs our steps. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed” (NASB).
What about you? How many activities are you holding onto out of fear—fear of being inefficient? Fear of disappointing others? Fear of falling behind?
Can you trust Him enough to be still when He says “be still?”
Take a moment and ask yourself these two questions:
1) Which activities truly deserve my energy and focus?
2) Does this action truly contribute to what God has called me to build, or am I just filling my time?
Prayer: Lord, today I choose to shift my focus from my own striving to Your power. I entrust the work of my hands to You, trusting that You will guide and multiply the fruit of my efforts. Teach me to be still when You ask me to pause and to move only when You call me to act. Help me understand that my worth is not found in the quantity of tasks I complete, but in the faithfulness with which I respond to Your calling for my life. Amen.
