ASA’S RIGHTEOUS + VICTORIOUS REIGN
After Abijah’s death, his son Asa becomes ruler of the Southern Kingdom of Judah. Asa is a righteous king who instituted good policies and rid Judah of false idols.
Although the odds are stacked against them, Asa and his small army trust in God’s provision and are able to defeat the Cushites, a powerful enemy from the region south of Egypt.
