DAY 2: Tent Living, City Dreaming

Have you ever felt like you're in a temporary place—doing your best to be faithful but quietly longing for more? Maybe it’s a dream you’ve held for years that still feels far off. Maybe it’s a desire in your heart that seems too bold to even speak aloud.

Abraham knew this feeling. He lived in tents, temporary, fragile structures, while believing God for a city with eternal foundations. He obeyed God without knowing the full picture. And yet, tent-living while city-dreaming earned him a reputation as a hero of faith.

We often criticize ourselves for not “having it all together,” but what if God is more pleased with our willingness to dream while dwelling in the unknown? Faith isn’t always about instant arrival—it’s about sustained trust.

This is the time for you to apply faith to what you have not seen yet. It’s okay to be sweeping the tent floor while envisioning something greater. God doesn’t despise the humble tent—He honors the bold dreamer who keeps believing.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What “tent” are you currently living in?
  2. What is the “city” you’re dreaming of?
  3. What’s one bold step of obedience you can take this week?
