Praise You, Oh Lord

This is the song that set everything in motion. My first Isaiah song. My first ever Bible song.

Until a few years ago, I wasn't even a believer. I was a singer/guitarist in a rock band, suffering from severe depression for over 20 years. I lived a suicidal lifestyle. I never felt at home in this world. I had addictions to fill the hole in my soul. Then in 2019, I had an encounter with my amazingly good (Heavenly) Father. He took me out of the pit, gave me a new life, new clothes, a mission, and here I am.

Project of Love started in January 2021, when during my quiet time, the Holy Spirit whispered, "Grab your guitar and sing what you're reading." I was reading Isaiah and a praise song for and to God emerged from the depths of my soul to the surface.

I vividly remember I was deeply moved when I sang this song for the first time. This praise song has always been waiting and longing to get out. After God freed me from 20-plus years of depression and wanting to die, I could now drink with JOY from the fountain of salvation.

I quit my job and decided to put the Bible to music. Never in a million years had I dreamed I would be doing this. I had heard of the Bible but found it a stuffy, dusty, boring, old book. That was then. He's blessed me with a raw hunger, a craving for the Word.

These days, I NEED it. I love His beautiful Word. I cannot live without it!

Man..God is good! "🔥😍

Isaiah 12 – Praise You, Oh Lord

1. “I will praise you, O Lord!
You were angry with me, but not anymore.
Now You comfort me.

2. See, God has come to save me.
I will trust in Him and not be afraid.
The Lord God is my strength and my song;
He has given me victory.”

3. With joyIwill drink deeply
from the fountain of salvation!

4. In that wonderful dayIwill sing:
“Thank the Lord! Praise His name!”
