We all have a choice in this life. Even as middle schoolers, we get to choose what we want to build our lives on. Do we want to stand on things that change, like our feelings, our relationships, or our mood? Or do we want to stand on something that will never change, like our faith in Jesus? When we put our faith in Jesus and make Him the foundation of our lives, no matter what circumstances or challenges come our way, we’ll find ourselves happy, joyful, and content in our faith and relationship with Him.
Keep working on memorizing this verse this week. To help you understand it a little better, read the rest of Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:24-27. Talk to your Small Group about what the words mean to you and encourage each other to memorize the Scripture as a reminder of where to put your faith.
