There’s a story in the Bible about Jesus feeding thousands of people. What did He use to do it? A few loaves of bread and a fish. That’s it! Jesus multiplied that small amount to meet the needs of thousands of people around Him. Why? Because He had compassion on them. Compassion is when we see a need or hurt in life and are moved to meet it. It’s what Jesus did for others, and it’s what we can do as well.

Think about a need you may see around you. Maybe it’s a friend going through a hard time, a sick family member, or a person in your small group who is often left out. Ask God to give you compassion for that person first, and then pray that God would help you take a step to help meet their need this week.
