Dear Lord, I know that I’m not always ready or willing to serve. I pray that You would give me not only a willingness but also an excitement to come alongside others, to share and serve and honor my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please renew in me a “spiritual fervor” and help me never to get tired of serving, no matter how hard it is. Take all bitterness away from me so I can do everything with wholehearted devotion to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This Lent season, we invite you to slow down and realign your focus on the sacrificial love of Christ. Over the next forty-six days, you will embark on a journey through seven ancient spiritual disciplines. Each week, you will be introduced to a new discipline that you can add to the previous weeks. Every longer devotional will be followed by daily Scripture readings and prayers to help you go deeper.
