Believe It or Not
Does hell really exist? Will sinners really go to such a place? Or is it just part of an imaginary fable? There are millions who don’t believe in hell; they feel life ends with their last breath. Thousands of years ago, God wished to destroy the world because man had corrupted it. Only one man, Noah, found grace in God’s eyes. God was keen on saving him and his family. He instructed Noah to make a mammoth ark. In this, he and his entire family, and male and female of all kinds of animals would take refuge, while He destroyed the rest of the world in judgment. It took almost a hundred years for Noah to build the ark. Seeing him build the peculiar ark, when there wasn’t any sign of rain, got people questioning him. When Noah told them about God’s plan, they only mocked him. Ultimately God’s plan came to pass and all, but those in the ark, were destroyed.
Today too, some people don’t believe in hell. For centuries, we have been hearing that the end is near. ‘But why hasn’t anything happened?’ is the question many ask. The Bible says God doesn’t want any to perish, but desires for everyone to repent, so that they too will enjoy heaven for eternity. I was ‘saved’ 15 years ago. If the end had come before that, I would have probably landed up in hell.
Our gracious Lord wants all mankind to repent. But time may not wait any longer. We are in the end times! Hell truly exists, because the Word of God tells us so; and His Word is true. Let us fear the Lord and surrender our lives to Him, and escape hell. His love beckons us.
Prayer
Lord, help me to cling to You and lead a blameless life, so that hell for me would be something that I have only heard of and not a place that I will ever experience. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
