Living for God

DAY 7 OF 15

Building a house takes lots of people playing their part. On the construction site, there are many different jobs. Some people lay the foundations, set out the scale of the house, and pour concrete. Next, some carpenters build the frames of the walls, windows, and roof. Bricklayers lay the bricks, the windows and walls are installed, and the roofers put the tiles on the roof so it can all be waterproof. Electricians install all the wiring and lights. Plumbers connect the pipes and drains. Painters add the color, tilers lay the tiles, and the carpet is put down. Each person on the construction site follows the building plans. The plans set out the instructions of how the house will be built, what goes where, and all the measurements and details. Each person plays their part and follows the plan. In the Old Testament, God’s people were given special jobs to build God’s house, the Temple, all to God's plans. King David gave his son Solomon all the plans that God had spoken to him. It’s the same with the Church today, God gives the plans, and we partner with Him to build the Church. The Church is God’s plan! Like an architect that sets out the vision for a building, God sets the plans for us to build the Church. Through our church leaders, He gives us the vision and the plans to follow. The Church is God’s plan for His Kingdom on earth. I believe the Church is God’s plan.
