## Audacious faith has the courage to ask for the impossible. Over the last few days, we’ve seen several examples of how Joshua practiced audacious faith. But the most audacious thing Joshua ever did was ask for something seemingly impossible — he asked God to make the sun stand still. In a battle against the Amorites, Joshua was fighting for victory and was desperate for a miracle — so he asked God to stop the sun from setting so Israel’s enemy could not escape in the dark. And God answered that prayer! For a lot of us, our prayers are limited to asking God for a good day or having a safe trip. There’s nothing wrong with that, but that’s only scratching the surface of what God wants to do through your life. This doesn’t mean God will answer every prayer with a “yes.” In fact, when God says “no” or “wait,” we should praise Him for those hard answers because they’re for our good. God invites us to pour out our hearts to Him like we do with our closest friends. It’s an invitation to ask for things you believe are impossible — a healed relationship with your parents, a friend coming to church with you, or financial provision for college. Audacious faith has the courage and boldness to ask God for what seems impossible — because what seems impossible to us is possible with God. We challenge you to learn to live in the tension of believing God to do the impossible while also trusting Him to do what He deems best. Audacious faith knows that sometimes the miracle is the sun stands still, and sometimes the miracle is you shine brighter in the dark.
