The New Testament presents a pattern of Jesus’s disciples working in pairs to share the good news of God’s kingdom . In today’s reading, 72 disciples are sent out in teams of two, to all the surrounding towns ahead of Jesus’s actual visit there. They were the advance teams. What will you share with others as a member of Jesus’s team?

Engage

Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:

· What does it say about God?

· What does it say about us?

· Is there a promise to trust?

· Is there a command to obey?

· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?

· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
