Partnering with God

Reflecting on this psalm, the reformer Martin Luther reckoned that ‘God could easily give you grain and fruit without your ploughing and planting, but He does not want to do so’. Work is not just something we do to keep boredom and debt collectors from our door; it is an act of partnering with God to bring about His good purposes on the earth. 

Thank God for the significance of your work, and that through it you are joining God in His.
