Focus on Others 

As an artist or creative, it is pretty easy to stay in the lane of "I-express-myself" design. It might be similar in tech - many people focus on getting better and better in whatever they do to help them utilize their skills the most. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with getting better and growing, but when we make it our focus, we might forget that whatever we do is supposed to make people's lives better. 

Church context gives us amazing space to communicate the life-changing message of the Gospel, but it will be the most effective when we make serving others the main goal of whatever we do. It might sometimes require us to do things which we feel are below us, but when we concentrate on people, there is nothing that God can't use for His glory.

The same concept applies when it comes to leadership. There are so many people that complain about their pastor and how they don't understand them. While it might be true in many cases, our task is still to serve. That's what God will honor.
