In Joshua chapter 1, Joshua is stepping into leadership over the Israelite nation. He is succeeding Moses, arguably the greatest prophet of all time, and Joshua has to take his people into a land that is already occupied by a powerful nation.
Joshua feared what many of us face today; he felt unqualified for the task in front of him. In the midst of this high-pressured situation, God silenced Joshua’s fear of failure by saying, “I will not fail you or abandon you.” The question is not will God give up on us, but will we give up on God.
God wants you to know that He will not fail you. Yes, pain may be present, struggles may surface, and fear may remain; but God is right by your side. You can overcome because God will not fail you. If you keep walking, you keep winning.

Living in MOTION was created by Highlands Students, the student ministry of Church of the Highlands to equip students to live every day for Jesus.
